“Riding the Comet” is an official selection of the New York Theater Festival Summerfest

Thrilled to announce Riding the Comet will be back on stage as a selection of the NY Theater Festival’s Summerfest.

I’ve been eager to get Comet back on stage ever since the premiere production at Actors’ NET in 2011. The show thrilled audiences and critics alike. The US1 Newspaper called it “deeply affecting” and The Princeton Packet named Riding the Comet “A Top 5 Production of the Year.”

This special run will be directed by Ruth Markoe and produced in association with her company, Theater To Go.

About the Show
Riding the Comet is a gripping World War II drama exploring the themes of family, fear and patriotism and what can become of us when pushed to the brink.

In WWII Occupied France, a resistance family is visited by two American GIs. A plan is set to return them safely to England via the underground “Comet Line”. But as the family endures the horrors of war, the eldest daughter, Linette, can no longer bear the loss and fragmentation of her family. With Nazis in fast pursuit and the safety of the GIs in jeopardy, fear takes its toll as Linette becomes increasingly desperate.
