Proud to announce my action/comedy feature screenplay, TEST DRIVE has reached the Top 20% of the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. Sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, the Nicholl Fellowship is considered the pinnacle of screenwriting competitions.
TEST DRIVE is a high energy, hilarious action/comedy with a crime edge, a youthful cast and two wicked-fast Aston Martin roadsters!
The log line reads: Following a harsh break-up, Jim and his brash buddy broker a deal for a free Aston Martin weekend test drive when the car is mistaken for one involved in a Mob drop. With the car salesgirl as an unwilling passenger, downtrodden Jim shifts into a high speed adventure to outrun the bad guys, impress the girl and return the Aston Martin by 9:00 am Monday unscratched.
The Top 20% were chosen from a field of 7444 feature film script submissions.
This is the second recent accolade for TEST DRIVE, having finished in the Top 10% of the Scriptapalooza Screenplay Competition and comes on the heals of my comedy PREGNANT PAUSE also finishing in the Top 20% of the Nicholl last year..
